“Japan is like going through the looking glass and finding out what kind of milk

it is that looking-glass cats drink; the same, but totally other.”     Angela Carter

With a focus on music and alternative culture, Adventures in the Looking Glass takes a look at Japan from the other side.  With photographic coverage of the Metal, Rock and Visual Kei scenes, the site also aims to spotlight  alternative rock and indie bands around Tokyo, art and tattoos, peppered with the occasional escape to other countries.

  1. Hi there.

I’m founder of http://www.walkedthru.com – which is actually a blog community. We’re currently recruiting bloggers, of all subjects and professions to contribute.

I think your blog is a fantastic example of what we are looking for – it is fun, specific, informative, and well written, with great imagery.

So with that I would love to invite you to visit our community, and to ask you if you would like us to list your blog under WalkedThru Tokyo Music Scene perhaps?

  2. Hello!

You have a wonderful blog here and so many beautiful pictures! We were wondering whether it would be alright for us to reblog [and of course credit you] some of the lynch. pictures you made,on our tumblr page? We tried to find your policy on spreading your shots online, but we couldn’t find it. So we thought it would be best to ask.

It’s pretty difficult to come by such marvelous pictures as yours and the reports you write with them are really worth the read. Naturally we will link to everything we post! As to answer your post: INFERIORITY COMPLEX is a wonderful album. Lynch. has outdone themselves this time. (o´ω`o)ノ

    Please let us know.

    With kind regards, lynch.fans ヾ(´▽`;)ゝ

        Have a nice day!

  3. I’m really glad I managed to find your blog! It’s been a while since I’ve found an interesting blog that documents Visual Kei/J-rock and is up to date. You have some amazing live performance photos and it’s great to see that you shoot for Rokkyuu Magazine where I’m assuming most of your photographs end up.

Thank you for sharing and looking forward to reading and seeing more. 🙂

  4. Cool Blog Laura!
